EEG stands for electroencephalogram. Small cups, or electrodes,
are used to record the patient’s brainwaves. The electrodes
are attached to different parts of the head with a paste.
For patients who need a more extensive evaluation, we
perform EEG monitoring, an EEG that lasts all day. The
patient’s activity is recorded continually on a video camera,
along with his brainwaves.
We perform EEGs at our main office in Germantown,
and also at Lebonheur Hospital, Baptist Memphis (East),
Methodist Germantown, Methodist Central (University Hospital),
Brighton,
Tenn., West
Memphis, Ark., and Tupelo, Miss.
We do EEG Monitoring (EMU) at our main office in Germantown,
and also at Lebonheur Hospital and Baptist Memphis (East).
We monitor adults at Methodist Central (University Hospital).
